Medical examination for Confined Space Workers £97

 Nationally recognised Medical Fitness Certificate

For those who have to work in an environment which has limited space a thorough medical examination is required to determine whether a candidate is up to the dangers posed by reduced access and hazardous areas.

According to the Health and Safety Executive a confined space is a place which is substantially enclosed (though not always entirely), and where serious injury can occur from hazardous substances or conditions within the space or nearby, for example a lack of oxygen in a manhole per say.

A confined space medical examination is important for employers as well as employees as they are responsible for the safety of their employees and others as per the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997.

What does it involve?

To gauge whether you are physically and mentally fit to be in tight spaces with minimal risk to yourself and others one of our Doctors will examine your:

  • Body mass
  • Hearing
  • Vision
  • Balance/flexibility
  • General health
  • medication
  • Neurology

When the medical examination has finished, depending on whether you have passed, our Doctors will give you a certificate of fitness which all employers recognise.
